VPR communication: important updated guidance for Northwestern researchers

Northwestern has updated its guidance to help safeguard faculty members against improper foreign influence in their research. You can find this guidance on the Office for Research website.
I strongly encourage you to take time to review this information carefully, even if you previously familiarized yourself with our earlier guidance. We want to ensure you understand updated federal government requirements, Northwestern expectations, and your responsibilities.
In addition, please be aware of several new NIH requirements going into effect, including changes to Other Support. Today also is an opportune time to remind you about Northwestern’s annual disclosure process, which will be open from Feb. 1-28, 2022. Please be candid in your disclosures and complete the process promptly. If you have questions about what to disclose, you can visit the Conflict of Interest Office website.
